Colle McVoy won the 2018 Webby Award in the Advertising, Media & PR – Public Service & Activism category. This is the tenth year the agency has been recognized with the “Internet's highest honor,” as hailed by The New York Times. The 22nd Annual Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet.
The agency received recognition for its #ParentsComingOut program for 3M’s Command™ Brand with PFLAG the nation’s largest family ally organization. #ParentsComingOut empowered families of those in the LGBTQ community with a platform to show their support. Coming out takes courage, and public support from friends and loved ones can make that brave act a celebratory moment. Event activities surrounding Pride Week, an impactful video and online and social campaigns allowed parents and families to share their personal stories and inspired others to do the same.
"The recognition for this activation is very gratifying," said Mike Caguin, Chief Creative Officer, Colle McVoy. “We’re proud to support the LGBTQ community and equally proud of the positive impact this purpose-driven work has had.”
Colle McVoy was also recognized as a nominee in the Mobile Sites & Apps – Fashion & Beauty category for its work with Invisalign and in the Social – Corporate Communications category for its work with Land O’Lakes and Winfield United.
The 2018 winners will be honored during a star-studded ceremony on May 14 at Cipriani on Wall Street in New York City. There the winners will have an opportunity to deliver one of The Webby Awards’ famous 5-Word Speeches.
