Today Colle McVoy announced two key promotions at the leadership level as a result of tremendous growth in its newly combined Media & Data science practice, which is part of the agency’s ongoing transformation to enhance media creativity and boldly lead clients in a data-led, digital-first world.

The Media & Data Science practice is led by Steve Knapp who has been promoted to the new role of managing director, Media & Data Science (formerly executive director of media) and Kim Dunn who was elevated from group media director to senior vice president, Media & Data Science. They will lead a team of holistic media strategists, cross-channel investment specialists and data science experts to provide a competitive advantage to Colle McVoy and its clients for further growth in a marketing landscape increasingly led by data to drive innovative and creative media solutions.

“Media and creative are at the heart of what we do, and data powers them both,” said Jessica Henrichs, president of Colle McVoy. “We often say media is creative and creative is media. The reality is data is creative too. Too often data serves merely as a rearview mirror — looking back on what’s already happened with creative ideas. Combining data science and media builds upon our purpose of identifying what’s next — a forward-facing, predictive view of how we can leverage data to build even stronger ideas, campaigns and solutions for our clients.”

In the last five years, media billings at the agency have tripled, with sales-driving and award- winning work for clients like 3M, Children’s Health, Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism and AccuWeather. The agency also welcomed more than a dozen new clients over the last 18 months, with media and data science being front and center. This reorganization will further position Colle McVoy for growth because of its fully integrated capabilities, solution-neutral mindset and boutique-like size backed by media investment clout and robust data expertise.

“This unification further underscores the importance data now plays in powering our media creativity to build bespoke solutions and provide even more value to our clients,” said Knapp. “With this expanded offering, we’ll position our talent and clients for growth by continuing to stay one step ahead of the shifting media landscape, where data science now plays an increased role in targeting, message delivery and measuring marketing effectiveness from start to finish.”

Rounding out the new practice expertise are Dan Mandle, SVP, data science, who manages omnichannel analytics across all clients; as well as Greg Jones, VP, director of digital media investments who is responsible for leading programmatic, paid social and paid search campaigns across the agency.

In addition to record growth, the Colle McVoy media practice has been consistently recognized in industry award programs, such as Adweek’s Media Plan of the Year and MediaPost’s Creative Media Awards. The synergy of data and media creativity has been key to this success. And the agency’s innovative approach to partnering with clients with in-house media offerings has yielded tremendous success and has been recognized by the ANA and WARC as a future-forward model for the industry.
