Colle McVoy Short-listed in 2018 Jay Chiat Awards

News Jay Chiat Awards 1440X810

Colle McVoy has been short-listed in the 4A’s 2018 Jay Chiat Awards, which recognize the best strategic thinking in marketing, media and advertising around the world. The agency is being recognized in the Regional Strategy category for the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board campaign, Stay Wild. The awards will be presented on Oct. 8 at the 4A’s 2018 Strategy Festival in New York.

“This is a tremendous honor because the Jay Chiat Awards are so selective, and they celebrate the contribution of strategy and planning to great ideas,” said Katie Anderson, executive director of insights, Colle McVoy. “With corporations buying up mountain resorts across the country, mountain towns were being erased. But Jackson Hole was different. It hadn’t lost its western grit, its friendly local vibe or its sense of adventure. The strategy captured the old-west-meets-high-adrenaline culture of this unvarnished mountain town.”

The Stay Wild campaign aimed to increase visitors to Jackson Hole during the winter months when tourism dropped drastically by uniquely showcasing the untamed and authentic spirit of Jackson Hole. Compelling insights lead to the development of the Stay Wild movement, one that locals could believe in and adventure seekers would want to be a part of. And it worked. During the winter season, the number of visitors increased by 32 percent and flight bookings were up 187 percent. Read more about the award-winning Stay Wild campaign here.
