Colle McVoy won the Creative Media Award in the Multicultural/LGBT Media category for its Parents Coming Out program in partnership with 3M Command. Winners were announced last night during MediaPost's Creative Media Awards reception and dinner in New York City.
Colle McVoy and 3M also collaborated with PFLAG and Twin Cities Pride to create the powerful #ParentsComingOut platform that gave parents the opportunity to come out in support of their kids. By leveraging the Command Brand’s goal to support people fearlessly making their space their own, impactful, raw, and honest stories were told through a video and shared to not only change the lives of the families involved, but to empower and unify others.
“We are so proud of this work and the impact it has had on the LGBT community,” said Mike Caguin, CCO, Colle McVoy. “Being recognized for culturally relevant, purpose-driven work means the world to us.”
Colle McVoy was also a finalist in the Creative category for its Stay Wild for Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism program and in the Audio category for its Trait Talk for Forage Genetics International work. Read more about Colle McVoy’s Creative Media Award.
About the Creative Media Awards
Produced and hosted by MediaPost Communications, the Creative Media Awards is the only awards program that honors the media industry. The Creative Media Awards express our belief that media — the process of buying, planning and strategy — is every bit as creative as depicting storyboards for a print or TV ad campaign.
