Colle McVoy announced today that Steve Knapp has joined the agency as executive director of media, a new position. Knapp’s hire is part of the agency’s recent expansion of its media group.
Knapp will lead media intelligence and engagement activities across paid/owned/earned channels encompassing strategy, investment and performance. He will also contribute his expertise to Colle McVoy’s progressive media approach, blurring the lines between creativity, technology, data and design.

Steve has a pulse on evolving media; a thirst for innovation; and a strong belief in the integration of media, insights, analytics, creative, public relations and social media.”
Colle McVoy recently announced the addition of five new hires and five promotions within the media group. New client partnerships have included The Hershey Company, Famous Dave’s of America and 3M.

For more than 20 years, Knapp has held media and marketing strategy leadership positions at select agencies working on some of the world’s most admired brands, including Subaru, Nike, General Mills, H&R Block, Harley Davidson, Jack Link’s, Kimberly Clark and Northwestern Mutual. His expertise spans all media, with extensive digital experience in mobile, social, video, native and programmatic solutions.
Most recently, Steve was a media consultant primarily for Barrie D’Rozario DiLorenzo where he led connection planning and created open-source buying partnerships for multiple clients, including the University of Minnesota. Previously, Knapp was senior partner, director of brand activation at Carmichael Lynch, a forward-thinking role he helped create to drive media-centric innovation, creativity and collaboration across all platforms and disciplines. He has also held VP positions at Olson and Campbell Mithun. Knapp has won multiple Effie Awards, Adweek’s Media Plan of the Year and MediaPost’s Creative Media Award.
