Exponent PR, a CM specialty agency, announced today that Lisa Tomassen has rejoined the agency as practice leader. She will oversee the agency’s thriving retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) practice and will report directly to managing director Tom Lindell.
Tomassen has more than 15 years of public relations agency and client-side marketing experience, developing and leading integrated, multi-channel marketing communications campaigns for some of the world’s most beloved brands. She spent eight years at General Mills, where she was a marketing communications manager responsible for developing breakthrough campaigns for brands including Pillsbury, Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest, Betty Crocker, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios and Nature Valley. Prior to General Mills, Tomassen was in the consumer and food practice groups at Exponent for five years. She’s received recognition from nearly every notable awards program, including the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Anvil Awards, SABRE Awards, Effie Awards, PR News Awards, PRSA Classics Awards (including two Best in Show), International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold and Bronze Quill Awards, and numerous awards at General Mills tied to outstanding campaign and business performance.
Lisa brings extensive and well-rounded marketing experience to the agency. Modern PR practitioners need channel-agnostic expertise and Lisa has this, as well as a passion for applying business strategy and insights into actions.
