Today Colle McVoy announced promotions to senior leadership in its creative department. Ed Bennett (formerly design director) has been promoted to executive design director and continues to oversee the agency’s growing design practice, which nearly doubled in size in 2015. Sam Soulek (formerly associate design director) is now design director.
“Our commitment to building our design offering is steadfast because we know that impeccable design is at the heart and soul of every great brand,” said Mike Caguin, chief creative officer, Colle McVoy. “Ed and Sam have played huge roles in growing our practice and integrating design into more holistic brand experiences.”
Since joining Colle McVoy more than 15 years ago, Bennett has transformed design at the agency from a minor client offering into one of the most prominent design firms in the country. He plays a crucial role and influences each piece of business. His efforts have helped make Colle McVoy a world class branding firm, garnering international recognition and awards for its branding, packaging, collateral and identity work. Recognition has come from Cannes Lions, the Effies, The One Show, the D&ADs and The Show, as well as from esteemed international publications like Communication Arts, The Dieline, Graphis, Print, Creativity and HOW.
“My journey at Colle McVoy has been tremendous and I’ve been honored to work here with an incredible team,” said Bennett. “I’m excited to continue to create experiences that push the boundaries of design and enhance our clients brands.”
As design director, Soulek works closely with Bennett and plays a key role in the day-to-day design direction across all clients. Soulek joined Colle McVoy nearly three years ago and has been instrumental in growing and attracting key pieces of business, including Target, August Schell Brewing Company, Grain Belt and Cub Cadet.
