Position Summary

The role of an Account Supervisor is to lead and motivate agency teams toward helping clients and their brands create a strong future. More specifically, he or she must be an active listener, passionate partner and brand steward, day in and day out. This role includes empowering involved teams, fostering collaboration, and continually pushing for fresh, new ideas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and act as day-to-day client contact on one or more accounts
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships
  • Instigate and champion great ideas internally and externally
  • Continually work with account planning to provide insightful input to client and agency team members on the brand’s strategic goals and vision
  • Determine how to best match the agency’s services to the client’s needs, within budget
  • Be the key integrator for all advertising and marketing functions, including strategic and creative development, creative contact management and integrated marketing activities
  • Lead strategic development of marketing communication plans
  • Oversee creative brief development and work with Account Planner, Creative Director, and Account Executive to finalize creative briefs that support stated strategy and positioning
  • Keep Account Director informed on key initiatives and account concerns
  • Ensure that the agency is adequately compensated for services rendered and generate financial forecasts and reports upon request
  • Supervise, mentor and motivate account service team members
  • Play an active role in new business as appropriate

Qualifications/Traits

  • BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising
  • 5 – 8 years agency account management experience
  • Ability to confidently persuade, present and champion ideas
  • Ability to anticipate problems and challenges
  • Thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Confident and resourceful, can function with minimal supervision
  • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Now Hiring: Account Executive

Position Summary

The Account Executive is primarily responsible for the initiation and execution of all marketing, creative, creative contact and research projects for assigned accounts. He or she is the client’s day-to-day contact and brand steward within the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Understand role and function of other agency disciplines and when those staff members should be brought in to interface with the client
  • Set and communicate clear expectations with team for each project
  • Maintain a positive relationship between agency and client and provide leadership within the agency on behalf of the client
  • Understand clients’ business and strategic direction
  • Assist with the development of marketing and communications planning
  • Work with Account Planner, Creative Director, and Account Supervisor/Director to draft creative briefs
  • Write monthly account status reports
  • Review, analyze and evaluate creative output, research reports and client data
  • Initiate and issue call reports after client meetings/discussions
  • Follow up on all work in progress to ensure meeting due dates are met
  • Manage creative development, production, media planning/execution, network clearance, legal approvals, client approvals, etc.
  • Keep immediate supervisor informed to status and progress of all projects
  • Review billing worksheets, work with Accounting and Production to manage costs, interface with client to answer billing questions and clear up accounts receivables
  • Monitor all budget, research and production activity on assigned accounts and communicate status of each project to appropriate agency and client personnel
  • Help mentor Assistant Account Executives
  • Participate in new business as appropriate

Qualifications/Traits

  • BA/BS Degree in Communications, Marketing or Advertising

Qualifications/Traits

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 7+ years of total work experience, 5+ years of experience in a strategic planning or strategically driven role.
  • Agency experience (preferable) or equivalent appropriate experience.
  • Ability to confidently lead clients and internal teams.
  • Solid skills in all core areas: research and insights, business and digital strategy, media and connections planning, and cultural anthropology.
  • Possess a high degree of independence, motivation and desire to constantly grow and improve.
  • Curiosity about what makes a brand meaningful, what is driving and influencing culture, and why people do what they do.
  • Passion for brilliant work, great strategy and wanting to constantly make things better.
  • Able to be creative, strategic and imaginative while remaining grounded in business realities.
  • A good grasp on the industry playbooks with a healthy disrespect for legacy industry models.
  • Research ambidexterity, qualitative and quantitative.
  • Strong strategic and marketing acumen, but without the ego or need to prove it.

Position Summary

C+M is seeking an Associate Creative Director/Sr. Copywriter to help on both business-to-business and business-to-consumer accounts with the responsibility of leading, creating and executing effective, inventive ideas for our clients, across all mediums. More specifically, this would include assisting the Group Creative Director in strategic planning, creative brief development, creative direction and participating in client presentations. The role also includes diving in as a copywriter on projects and driving larger initiatives as the lead writer. Agriculture and animal health experience is a plus. Title is commensurate with experience.
